General Information
Opening Times:
The nursery is open 5 days a week for 49 weeks a year. Our Operating times are: Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm
Holidays / Nursery Shutdown
The nursery closes for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. We are closed to children on inservice days for staff training. these inservice days are aligned to the Perth & Kinross Council, Education Directorate, in-service periods. Further information on these dates is available from our manager directly or via the PKC website
Attendace age
FossoPLAY is registered to accept children from the ages of 2 years up to the age of 8 years. Our primary enrolment is for children aged 3 years, starting their anti-preschool year, up to the age of 5 year, before they start school, however we do have some limited places for 2 year olds and school aged children in the nursery. Our Setting
- Our 5 acre woodland base
- Our Garden Kitchen
- The Stables, including our chickens, sheep and pigmy goats, where we support the children to learn about the animals and their care.
- 40 acres of park land, to use for different projects throughout the year
- Our Traditional Yurt, with woodturning stove, set in the woods for shelter and use as a quiet space
- Our child-led woodland site, with tree swings, climbing trees and an severer increasing number of loose parts, natural and child made play resources,
