Chris chose to start FossoPLAY Nursery, after more than a decade working in the public sector. He lives with his wife, Karen, and their two young children, Cora & Callan. The family share their home with their dog, ‘Kenrobinson’ and the kids horses, Bertie and Katie (they don’t actually live in the house however!).
From a background in sports development, Chris initially worked with children and young people to develop their interest in sport. Since then, he’s spent his career working in the early years and childcare sector, managing and supporting care settings and schools.
Chris was one of the founders of Free Range, an outdoor play project for vulnerable children. Free Range won the Nancy Ovens Award for Excellence in Play in 2013 and is regarded as sector leading. He has also developed and delivered outdoor play courses to practitioners.
Chris is still active and enjoys playing golf and the occasional game of rugby for Kirkcaldy Rugby Club. However, his priority now is spending time with his family and two young children.
